More snow squalls and plunging temperatures on the way

According to Environment Canada, snow squalls will continue tonight into Friday with additional snowfall amounts of 10 to 20 cm Thursday into Friday morning.

Significantly reduced visibility in heavy snow and local blowing snow.

Lake effect snow will continue to impact the area snow squalls are expected Thursday impacting the area through Friday. Wind gusts of 40 to 60 km/h will leading to local blowing and drifting snow. The blowing and drifting snow will be most pronounced in open and wind exposed areas.

Travel may be extremely hazardous. Visibility may be suddenly reduced to near zero at times.

Roads and walkways may be very difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Road closures are possible.
