National Day for Truth and Reconciliation: Free Admission to Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre

On Tuesday, September 30th, the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre will offer all-day free admission (10 AM – 5 PM) to all visitors in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

This day provides an important opportunity to reflect and learn. Everyone is invited to explore the Anishinaabwe Endaat gallery and visit the newest exhibit, Legacy of Hope: The Residential School System in Canada, Local Saugeen Ojibway Nation Impacts, which shares stories and experiences both nationally and from the region.

For those who can’t visit in person on September 30th, there are other upcoming events and programs that will help you continue on your own personal pathway towards truth and reconciliation.

During this national celebration of arts and culture, the Museum will host a special free event dedicated to the current exhibit, Legacy of Hope: A National Crime: The Residential School System, Local Saugeen Ojibway Nation Impacts.

Participants will have a chance to engage and interact with the exhibit with a local Saugeen Ojibway Nation community member to learn deeper insights into the broader history of the Residential School System in Canada and the legacy of their local impact.

FREE to attend. Preregistration is encouraged.
