‘Nunsense’ the hilarious spoof about the misadventures of five nuns trying to manage a fundraiser is coming to Southampton.
A little teaser – Sadly, most of the sisterhood has died from botulism after eating vichyssoise prepared by Sister Julia and the remaining nuns stage a talent show in order to raise the money to bury their dearly departed, four of whom are on ice in the deep freeze! This side-splittingly funny musical romp is suited for the whole family!
The original show ran for 3,672 performances, becoming the second-longest running Off-Broadway show in history (after The Fantasticks). By the time it closed, it had become an international phenomenon translated into at least 26 languages with more than 8,000 productions worldwide.
To miss this hilariously funny production is ‘nunsense’.
