In Loving Memory of Alice Mary McKinnon (nee Schiestel) of Southampton who passed away on January 19, 2026. Born on August 12, 1942 in Walkerton, Bruce County, she was the beloved daughter of the late Anna May and Mathew Schiestel.

Ali spent her working years at the City of Kitchener in the Public Works Department. In her retirement years she helped in the office at Royal LePage in Southampton. She was a kind-hearted, loving and giving person to all her family and friends. If you couldn’t find Ali, guaranteed she was out walking or sitting at the beach enjoying a spectacular sunset. She loved Southampton and enjoyed her life there to the fullest. Her passion for gardening brought joy to so many people.
She is survived by her loving sons Dean (Kerrie), Larry (Lynda) and Chris (Sarah) along with her grandchildren Lauren, Aletia, Corey (Jasmine) and Samantha (Matthew) and great grandchildren Mylez and Richard. Also survived by sister Judy Haelzle, nieces and nephew Brenda, Sherry, Robbie and Jennifer.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date (to be announced). She will then be reunited with Robert Meyer her late husband, the true love of her life at the Woodland Cemetery in Kitchener, Ontario.
Our mother was taken way too early for being such a young and vibrant person not only in spirit but in heart.
We will all miss her … We love you mom.
