October marks Canadian Library Month and Ontario Public Library Week

This October, Bruce County Public Library (BCPL) invites everyone to celebrate Canadian Library Month and Ontario Public Library Week with activities and a giveaway that highlight the community connections that public libraries create.
Stop by any branch to share what makes the library special to you on our ‘Why I Love the Library’ displays! Plus, borrow five physical items for a ballot that gives you a chance to win a Kobo Colour eReader.
A highlight of the month is the annual Read Local event, taking place at the Wiarton Branch on Sunday, October 19 at 2pm. This free, drop in event, kicks off Ontario Public Library Week from October 19th to the 20th. Visitors can meet and connect with a variety of local talent as well as discover their next hidden gem while supporting local authors.
“BCPL prides itself on being a trusted community connector and community sharing place, and Canadian Library Month is the perfect time to celebrate the stories, resources, and connections that make Libraries so special,” said Library Director, Brooke McLean.
