OPG supports Huron Shores Hospice

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) made a very special donation on October 28th to Huron Shores Hospice in Tiverton.

The donation was made in acknowledgement and in memory of the recent passing of Kincardine Deputy Mayor Marie Wilson at Walk of Memories park in Tiverton.

(L)Cheryl Cottrill (Huron Shores Hospice) accepted the donation from OPG’s Lynda Cain (C) and                                                                                     Heather Convay (R)

Marie Wilson was a friend and colleague to those at OPG where she worked in Communications before moving on to the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) from which she retired.  When she retired, she wanted to remain involved in her community and ran for municipal office in Kincardine and became Deputy Mayor.

“Marie was a friend and colleague to us at OPG,” says Lynda Cain, OPG Senior Communications Specialist. “Her passing is a loss to her family, her friends and the entire community, and she will be remembered fondly.”
