Special Olympics received a donation from Port Elgin Legion Branch 340 on Friday, October 23rd (2026).
“We, the Branch, give back to the community whenever possible,” said Legion Branch President Matthew Patterson, “and the athletes of Special Olympics are always out there volunteering and helping out so, this time, we are pleased to help them.”
“The athletes are very appreciative of this donation,” said Coach Cheryl Smethurst. “With Special Winter Olympics starting up, this will definitely help.”
