Public Assistance Request: Dog Bite in Sauble Beach

The Grey Bruce Health Unit is seeking assistance from the public in finding the owner of a dog involved in a biting incident that occurred in Sauble Beach on the evening of Sunday, May 12, 2019.

The incident occurred at the victim’s residence on Sauble Falls Road. The victim approached a silver, quad-cab, Chevy truck, that parked in his laneway, to inquire if everything was alright. He was bitten by a large, mixed breed dog, grey and white in colour. The male driver immediately drove away. There were two other dogs also in the truck.

Staff of the Grey Bruce Health Unit need to confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies. By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving post-exposure rabies treatment.
