Pumpkinfest 2025 has come and gone but the good news continues.
The 50/50 ticket draw that started in July and continued through Pumpkinfest weekend, October 4th and 5th, has a winner … local musician Tyler Pantlin.

Joanne Robbins, Pumpkinfest organizer, and Captain Wayne Sparrow (a.k.a. Wayne Kaufman) of the Marine Heritage Society presented the winnings of $11,310 to Pantlin on Thursday, October 9th at Pioneer Park in Southampton.
“I actually bought my ticket here in Southampton in July at the Marine Heritage Festival,” said Pantlin. “We came down to watch the cardboard boat races and when someone approached and asked if we wanted a ticket, I said sure, why not.”
When the ticket was drawn at the close of Pumpkinfest on Sunday, October 5th, the winning number matched Pantlin’s.
“I was just thrilled that it was someone local who had the ticket,” said Joanne Robbins, . “When I called the local phone number on the ticket and learned it was Ty, I was even more thrilled because his band played at Pumpkinfest and the Marine Heritage Festival!”

“I don’t know yet what we’ll do with the money. I think though we’ll set up an account for my daughter Koever, who turns one on November 29th, and I’ll get that oil change on my vehicle,” he said laughing.
The remaining money of the 50/50 draw will be divided between Pumpkinfest and the Marine Heritage Society.
“Our portion of the funds will go toward children’s programs at Pumpkinfest,” said Robbins. Kaufman said that the Marine Heritage portion will go toward next year’s Marine Heritage Festival. “It will help with expenses so that we can continue to keep the Festival weekend a free family event.”
