The Rotary Club of Saugeen Shores recently held the installation of the Club’s new President for 2026-27.
Travis Chappell was handed over the reigns by past-President Tina Blair on July 12th at Fusion by the Lake restaurant in Port Elgin.
As tradition holds, past-President Blair presented an incoming gift to the new President. Given her British background as part of the Commonwealth, Blair presented a ‘silver fern’, New Zealand’s most recognized, long-standing, and respected national symbol that spiritually symbolizes resilience and new beginnings.
New President Chappell reminded everyone that volunteers are always needed. “We cannot function with only the same people every day. Everyone has to help out.”
