Southampton and Port Elgin Rotary Clubs disbursed funds that were raised at this year’s 2019 Rotary Huron Shore Run that was held in June.
Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation received the bulk of the funds with a $38,000 donation that will toward equipment purchases.
In addition, each of the Rotary Clubs received $5,200 for community projects and Saugeen Track & Field Club (STFC), a partner in the event, also received $5,200, which is its largest fundraiser of the year.
The cheques were presented on Tuesday, August 13th at the Queen’s Bar & Grill following the weekly meeting of Port Elgin Rotary.
