Saugeen Shore Hospital Foundation appoints new Board Chair

The Brightshores Health System Saugeen Shores Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of John Harding as Chair of its Board of Directors following the Foundation’s Annual General Meeting June 17.

A long-time Saugeen Shores resident, John brings extensive leadership experience in communications, marketing, government relations, and financial services. Recently retired from RBC Capital Markets, he has also been a dedicated community volunteer and is one of the founders of Gran Fondo Lake Huron, the annual cycling event that has raised significant funds in support of local healthcare since 2018.

“John’s leadership, strategic perspective, and commitment to healthcare philanthropy make him exceptionally well suited to guide our Board as we continue supporting healthcare close to home,” said Tracy Murray, Executive Director of the Saugeen Shores Hospital Foundation. The Foundation is also pleased to welcome three new directors to the Board.

Cindy Brannan joins the Board following a 30-year career in the investment industry. A long-time Southampton resident with deep family roots in the community, she brings valuable experience in financial stewardship and a strong commitment to volunteerism and community service.

Kathryn Forsyth is a Registered Dietitian with more than 30 years of experience serving patients and families across Grey and Bruce counties in hospital, long-term care, First Nations, and public health settings. A Southampton resident for more than three decades, she brings a unique healthcare perspective and deep understanding of the communities we serve.

Sue Caley brings a 40-year career in Human Resources with expertise in leadership and team development. A passionate supporter of local healthcare, Sue and her family have also been active fundraisers through the Gran Fondo, helping honour the memory of their son, Brady, while supporting care close to home.

“Our Board is strengthened by the diverse experiences, professional expertise, and community connections that John, Cindy, Kathryn, and Sue bring to the Foundation,” said Murray. “Together, they will help guide our efforts to ensure patients and families across our region continue to have access to exceptional healthcare close to home.”
