Saugeen Shores Lifesaving Club (SSLC) members continue to prove their expertise in the water.
Competing in Oakville this past weekend at the Ontario Senior Pool Championships, Saturday and Sunday (March 11&12), the athletes showed what they can do.
The 30 swimmers, 18 from ages 14-15, 16-19 and open 20+, placed 2nd (next to Markham) overall out of 11 teams (115 athletes).
The 12 Masters (30+) proved that age is only a number as they brought home the Ontario Provincial Pool Banner. They were first overall in their age category and, even coach Michael Hundt who competed, did amazing bringing several medals home.
The last in-person pool Provincials were in 2020 and the athletes are looking forward to the National in June that will be held in Windsor.
