Severe thunderstorms bring a deluge of water

Following severe thunderstorms and deluge of heavy rains on Tuesday night (April 4th) and into the early morning hours of Wednesday in Saugeen Shores and throughout Bruce County, many roads were left under water.

Some drivers splashed their way through while others slowed down considerably before entering the pools of water.

The storm system also prompted Canada’s first tornado watch in 2023 in southwestern Ontario in the Windsor, Essex, and Chatham-Kent regions.
