Each year, Southampton Rotary gets Perkins Park ready for the holiday season with lights, Santa’s village and reindeer to create a winter light extravaganza at the southern entrance to Southampton.
On Saturday morning (Nov.23), they arrived early to get underway transforming the park into a winter wonderland of lights and fantasy. Tucked away in the northwest corner is Santa’s village and then, in the southeast corner is Santa himself with his sleigh and reindeer. The pergola becomes a snowflake wonder complete with a giant Christmas tree on top.

It takes as many volunteers as possible to complete the decorating task, along with T. A. Stewart & Son who lifts the giant Christmas tree into place.
