Special Olympians treat fans to Championship curling

Curling fans at the 2023 Tankard/Scotties in Port Elgin were treated to even more curling as they had the opportunity to watch the 2022 Provincial Special Olympics Curling Championship.

Four teams competed from Ottawa, two from Brantford and West Niagara. In the A division, Team MacMillan of Ottawa played off against Team Butler from Brantford and, in B division, Team Charnish of Brantford played against the West Niagara Rockstars from West Niagara.

Team Butler of Brantford under coaches Murray MacDonald, Geoff Nelson and Sandra St. Louis came away with the overall Championship and were presented with the the 2022 Banner badges.
