Today, September 13th, marks the anniversary of the first Terry Fox Run that took place across Canada.
Terry Fox and his Marathon of Hope have inspired people for 40 years and, this year 2020, his legacy still remains. The 40th anniversary of the annual Terry Fox Run will be different however, when like with many other events, it is going virtual in this challenging time of COVID.
While people will not formally be getting together at North Shore Park in Port Elgin, participants can still walk/run or cycle any distance on Sunday, September 20th … one day, your way.

Starting at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, Geordie Farrell and Holly Vanderzwet will kick off the event on ‘Facebook Live’.
Geordie will speak in memory of her husband, Earl, as a ‘Terry’s Team Member’ and Holly will do her famous warm-up for anyone who wants to take part.
