THE BATTLE – THE ULTIMATE CURLING CHALLENGE IS ONLY 5 DAYS AWAY. WE ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THAT FANS WILL BE ABLE TO WATCH THE EVENT FROM THE COMFORT OF THEIR OWN HOME. Since weekend passes are sold out organizers have ensured that fans will be able to watch live. Fans can tune to Rockchannel.com, CBC Gem, CBCSports.ca, CBC Youtube channel, and the Home Team Network.
It has also been announced that this event will be a CASHLESS EVENT. Credit and debit machines will be readily available.
The three-day event, sponsored by Bruce Power and presented by Holiday Inn Express and Suites, will be held September 25, 26, and 27 of 2026 but is two events in one.
The Curling Camp is SOLD OUT as 80 curlers of all experience levels will have the opportunity for on-ice and off-ice instruction from some of the top instructors in the country including members of both Team Homan and Team Jacobs. It is one of the most unique curling camps ever held as participants will experience arena ice, just like they see on television.
Instructors for the Camp will be some of the most recognized people in the sport.
Glenn Howard – Four World Championships. Four Briers. Seventeen Ontario Tankards.
Sherry Middaugh – Five Ontario Scotties. One Saskatchewan Title. Currently coach for Team Hollie Duncan.
Lori Eddy – Four Scotties appearances. Played in 2013 Olumpic Trials in Winnipeg. Coached Team Armstrong to Ontario Scotties Championship.
Mick Lizmore – Head coach of the Canadian National Paralympic Curling program, winning gold this past year in Italy. Curling career included with Scott MacDonald and Brendan Botcher.
Kate Hagen – Played competitively alongside Sherry Middaugh and Collen Jones. Worked at curling camps across Canada and Europe.
Maurice Wilson – Coached in 30 provincial championships. Master Coach Developer for Curling Canada. Asham Ontario Junior Coach of the year in 2003 and 2004. Canadian University Coach of the Year in 2011 and 2012.
The three-day Battle will feature the teams that represented Canada at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milano Cortina, Italy. Bronze medalists Team Rachel Homan and Gold medalists Team Brad Jacobs. Friday evening, September 25th, will be doubles curling. Saturday evening, September 26th, is a Skins game. Then the final on Sunday afternoon, September 27th, is regular curling. A special appearance will be made on Friday evening by the Canadian Paralympic Gold Medal Wheelchair Curling Team supported in part by Mackenzie Investments. They will participate in the Friday evening doubles games and then be available at select times throughout the weekend to meet fans.
