Always a popular event is the ‘Touch a Truck’ where the young and young-at-heart can clamber aboard a big piece of equipment or into a police car and operate the siren.
This year’s event was held at Lamont Sports Park on May 24th and, despite the cool temperatures, the crowd of all ages appeared excited to be there for a chance to get up close to ‘touch a truck’, and some to even get inside the equipment.
Next door at the new Lamont accessible playground, it was definitely play time – giving the adults a ‘time out’ as the kids played on the equipment.
