As of November 1, 2019, the Town has issued 329 building permits this year, with a total construction value of $100,657,613. By comparison, at the same point last year, the Town had issued 337 permits with a value of $75,649,737. The number of permits includes residential, commercial, institutional, agricultural, and other new builds, renovations, additions and demolitions.

“As identified in our Corporate Strategic Plan, facilitating appropriate growth is one of our key priorities, and we are doing so each and every day,” said Mayor Luke Charbonneau. “Reaching this milestone wouldn’t be possible without the developers, builders, contractors and skilled trade experts who support our community’s growth.”

The Mayor added: “And a special thanks to our staff, from those in the building department to the crews putting shovels in the ground for all of their work in achieving this goal.”
