Ultimate Curling Battle to be Broadcast

THE BATTLE – THE ULTIMATE CURLING CHALLENGE IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THAT FANS WILL BE ABLE TO WATCH THE EVENT FROM THE COMFORT OF THEIR OWN HOME. Since weekend passes for the event have been sold out for months the organizers have ensured that fans will be able to watch live on the Rock Channel thanks to the Curling Group, CBC Gem, CBCSports.ca, and the CBC Youtube channel.

A world class broadcast team has been put together to ensure the best experience for fans. The host will be Devin Heroux. Most famous for hosting the 2026 Winter and Paralympic broadcasts on CBC, as well as special events for the Curling Group. One of the colour commentators will be Marilyn Bodogh, one of the skips for the most well-known Battle against Ed Werenich in 1986. The other colour commentator will be Glenn Howard, one of the most decorated curlers in history. ice level and fan interviews will be done by Mike Harris, silver medalist at the 1998 Winter Olympics.

It has also been announced that this event will be a CASHLESS EVENT. Credit and debit machines will be readily available.

The three-day event, sponsored by Bruce Power and presented by Holiday Inn Express and Suites, will be held September 25, 26, and 27 of 2026 but is two events in one.

The first event is The Battle featuring the teams that represented Canada at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milano Cortina, Italy. Bronze medalists Team Rachel Homan and Gold medalists Team Brad Jacobs. Friday evening September 25 will be doubles curling. Saturday evening September 26 is a

Skins game. Then the final on Sunday afternoon September 26 is regular curling with a few twists thrown in for fun. A special appearance will be made on Friday evening by the gold medal winning wheelchair curling team. They will participate in the Friday evening doubles games and then be available at select times throughout the weekend to meet the fans in attendance

The second event is a bucket list Curling Camp which is also SOLD OUT. Eighty curlers of all experience levels will have the opportunity for on ice and off ice instruction from some of the top instructors in the country including Glenn Howard, Sherry Middaugh, and of course members of both Team Homan and Team Jacobs. It is one of the most unique curling camps ever held as participants will experience arena ice, just like they see on television.
