Walkers enjoyed the beautiful pathways around North Shore Park in Port Elgin (Saugeen Shores) as they raised over $9,300 for programs and services provided by Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario (PSSO) to help people suffering from Parkinson’s.

“All the funds raised today go to help provide mental, physical, and emotional supports,” said Mark Womack, local PSSO representative.  “The money raised will help us continue to provide local support groups, exercise programs, and referral services for those with Parkinson’s in our community.”

Other local walks in Owen Sound, and Hanover (in addition to 10 others throughout southwestern Ontario) added up to a very successful weekend for the organization.  Anyone requiring support for Parkinson’s Disease can contact PSSO at 1-888-851-7376, or at info@psso.ca
