For those travelling to Walkerton, Phase 2 of the Durham Street bridge rehabilitation project will resume on Monday, March 9th (2026). Initially, motorists can expect intermittent lane closures on the bridge, with traffic control measures in place.
Within the month, the bridge will transition to alternating traffic with a single-lane closure managed by temporary traffic lights and additional traffic control measures.
The completion of the the work on Phase 2 is anticipated for July but, in the meantime, Weight restrictions on the Durham Street Bridge remain in effect and alternative truck routes have been posted.
