A charity golf tournament is being held on Friday, June 21st, at Westlinks Golf & Country Club to raise funds for Ronald McDonald Southwestern Ontario (RMHC SWO)house.
In 1982, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Canada was created by McDonald’s to ensure that every future House would have a foundation of support.
In London, a family can stay in one of the 40 private rooms, located steps from Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre, providing families with a “home-away-from-home” close to the medical care their children need for as long required. Families are asked to pay only $10.00 a night and no family is ever turned away due to an inability to pay.
Organizers have currently raised $40,000 but are hoping to hit a goal of $50,000.
Several families who have actually used the house will be at various holes and the public is welcome to come out on Friday and donate to help support RMHC Southwestern Ontario between 12:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
