Once again, summer live theatre in Southampton (Saugeen Shores) is shaping up to be one of the busiest and one of the most hilarious as three comedies get set to take the stage.
The first performance of the Bruce County Playhouse Summer’26 Professional Season is ‘Halfway There‘ by renowned playwright, Norm Foster. It’s a feel-good comedy that, “… wraps audiences in warmth and laughter, capturing the comfort of friendship and the joy of finding your people.”
In a town famous for being halfway between the North Pole and the equator, secrets don’t stay hidden for long—especially when gossip is shared over daily coffee in a small-town diner. Packed with humour, heart, and a touch of romance, it’s the perfect night out with a friend or loved one.
The Opening Night Gala on June 25th starts the season off at at 6:30 p.m. with live music, hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar, with the performance beginning at 8:00 p.m.
Following the play, there is an audience ‘question and answer’ (Q&A) opportunity with the performers and director.
The play runs from June 25 to July 11th at the Southampton Town Hall Theatre and tickets are now on sale.
Bruce County Playhouse, a not-for-profit professional summer theatre company, was founded in 2015. “We have resolved to deliver an artistic program that brings inspiration, adventure and energy to our stage and to our audience. We are committed to a theatre company that inspires our staff, artists, volunteers, sponsors, donors and audiences. We invite you to join us for our exciting Season!”
