Paisley residents and visitors are invited to celebrate a beloved local legend at the Celebrate Saugie! Family Fun Day on Saturday, April 25, from 10:00 a.m. to noon
at the Paisley Community Centre.

The free, family-friendly event marks 20 years of Saugie, the playful river monster who has become a cherished symbol of the community. The morning will feature a variety of indoor activities for children and families, including crafts, games, a colouring contest, and a photo opportunity with the iconic Saugie sculpture. Guests can also learn more about the history and legend of Saugie
while enjoying light refreshments.

“Celebrate Saugie is all about fun, imagination, and community pride,” said Mayor
Steve Hammell. “I’ve never seen Saugie myself, but I always find myself checking
the river when I’m in town, just hoping to catch a glimpse.”

The event will wrap up with a hunt for Saugie’s Eggs beginning at 11:30 a.m.,
which will take participants outdoors for a fun and festive finale.

Celebrate Saugie! Family Fun Day is brought to you by the businesses of Paisley
in partnership with the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.
