Join us for a special morning of remembrance as we honour those who have served and remember those who gave their lives. Everyone in our community is warmly invited to attend at 10:30 November 9th.
Veterans, currently serving military personnel, police, EMS, fire service members, and cadets are especially welcome to attend in uniform. We would be honoured to have you join us.
We are pleased to welcome members of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 340, Port Elgin. This special ceremony will include:
• The Legion Colour Party, with the ceremonial marching of the flags.
• O Canada, our national anthem.
• The Last Post and two minutes of silence.
• The Book of Remembrance, with the reading of the names of the fallen.
• Remarks from Matt Paterson, President of Legion Branch 340.
• God Save the King.
Our guest speaker, Dr. Munetsi Zowa, is Senior Pastor of Hope Community Church and a spiritual leader of Village of Hope in Zimbabwe. A respected leader and educator, he is deeply committed to strengthening communities and empowering people.
A children’s program will be available during the service, and families are welcome.
Whether you regularly attend church or are visiting for the first time, there is a place for you. Bring a friend or neighbour, and please share this invitation as we gather as a community to remember.
Lest we forget.
