There is no doubt that the demise of young Koehler Weir of Southampton left a hole in the hearts of many.
Having grown up in the community, he was a constant in his family and with his friends.
The love of the community was evident at the recent Celebration of his Life as hundreds gathered at the Lakeshore Recreation Centre in Port Elgin to mourn his loss. From family to friends, work colleagues to former teachers, they gathered to pay, not only their respects to the family, but to share their love as a community for one of their own.
As many know, a sudden tragic death can cause untold financial hardship and, to help the family, a Go-fund-Me has been established for Koehler’s family.
