Once again, golfers, friends and family gathered at the Saugeen Golf Club on July 19th (2025) to commemorate the memory of Art Van Santen, beloved husband, father, friend, and longtime fixture at the Club during the summer months and within the Southampton & Guelph communities year-round.
The 8th annual memorial tournament raised $16,000 surpassing the goal of $100,000
to date.
Funds raised this year are being divided between the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation, Heart & Stroke Foundation and Epilepsy Ontario.
On Tuesday, August 12th (2025), Jessica Smit presented this year’s donation to Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation Chair, Martha Bennett.
“We are thrilled to receive this wonderful donation,” said Bennett. “This will go a long way to help with the hospital’s equipment needs.”
Plans are already in the works for next year when the annual tournament will be held July 18th, 2026 at Saugeen Golf and Country Club.
