It’s here! October has arrived and it’s time for the award-winning Pumpkinfest in Port Elgin (Saugeen Shores).
Pumpkinfest unofficially starts on October 3rd with the Pub-kin Crawl where you can let the free shuttle do the driving as you kick off the weekend.
The Shuttle will run between Port Elgin and Southampton downtown cores from 7:00 p.m. to Midnight, so you don’t have to miss a thing! (click on poster for details).
The weekend officially kicks off with the opening ceremonies that feature the Chantry Singers of Saugeen Shores at 10:00 a.m. at the Bruce Power Weigh Off Stage. Then it’s time for the CELEBRITY SEED EVENT where VIP’s are challenged to a new fun seed event to see who will be the 2025 Champion!
Then, it’s time begin what everyone waits for … the giant vegetable weigh-offs that will continue through the day. This year, the hope is for a world champion pumpkin at 2,000 lbs.
Outside, there are enough activities to keep everyone enjoying the day. From live entertainment to the midway, the Cinderella car show to the Artisans’ craft show and more.
The fun continues on Saturday with fun activities, attractions and events for every age, interest and taste.
