Bruce County Council on the resignation of Kincardine Mayor

Bruce County Councillor, Anne Eadie announced her resignation as the Mayor of Kincardine and as a Councillor for Bruce County at the Kincardine Council meeting on Wednesday, April 7th.

Bruce County Warden, Janice Jackson, notes, “On behalf of Bruce County Council and Staff, I would like to thank Mayor Eadie for her nearly two decades of dedicated public service and community leadership. Anne has been instrumental in our efforts to build healthy and vibrant communities in Bruce County. We will miss Anne’s insightful contributions at the Council table and sincerely wish her the best in her future endeavours.”

Anne Eadie served as a Councillor for Huron-Kinloss from 2003 to 2010, as the Deputy Mayor for Kincardine from 2010 to 2014, and as the Mayor of Kincardine from 2014 to 2021. As Mayor, Anne also served as a Bruce County Councillor from 2014 to 2021.

She successfully guided Bruce County and Kincardine through a number of major milestones, including watershed, natural gas, nuclear, and telecom enhancements, and County-wide economic development growth.

Bruce County Council will discuss and make decisions on next steps in the weeks ahead.
