Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre a hive of activity over the holiday season

Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre has been a beehive of cultural activities leading up to Christmas and it will continue into the New Year.

Santa and Mrs. Claus Visit

Santa has been especially busy this time of year, but he and Mrs. Claus have found the time to stop in to the Museum every Saturday throughout December, for a few hours for photos and to listen to those last minute Christmas wishes.

Anthony Moskalik and mom, Jennie

This Saturday, December 15th, however will be Santa’s last stop before his big day.  Not only will he be there, but it will be a fun-filled afternoon for the whole family with ‘Memories of Christmas and Holiday Traditions’ of craft activities, multicultural games and treats.

Victorian Tea

Then, a few days later on December 6th, it was the annual traditional Victorian Tea.  Delicious pipinn hot teas prepared by Joleen Nickle of Loose Leaves tea were the perfect complement to treats and sweets from Mary Ellen Harrigan of Harrigan’s 100 Mile Catering of Southampton.

Five maids with the Tea’s namesake, Queen Victoria – Gail Burmingham,            Brenda  Vanderploeg, Heather Wallace and Cadence & Grace Edgcumbe
