Bruce Telecom unveils Fibre-to-the-Home to more Communities

Bruce Telecom is excited to further improve its customers’ telecom services with state-of-the-art fibre optic technology with the expansion of Fibre-to-theHome (FTTH) across Paisley and Tiverton, Ontario.

Fibre-to-the-Home uses glass fibre to carry communications signals, successfully replacing the existing copper and COAX infrastructure, with a faster, more reliable method of delivering internet, TV, and phone services. Fibre optics uses light instead of electricity to carry signals which can transmit an enormous number of signals to and from your home at remarkable speeds.

Construction work to locate and bury fibre cables is underway and will continue to expand throughout the community in 2023. Bruce Telecom anticipates that with the consent of residents, they will be able to start physically connecting homes as early as Summer 2023.

Bruce Telecom is the region’s local communications leader, providing trustworthy home phone, high-speed Internet, digital television, and cellular phone services.

The switch to FTTH will allow customers to take advantage of Bruce Telecom’s full-service bundles including 1GB Internet, Digital TV, and Home Phone. Bruce Telecom also offers individual services that can be utilized to meet unique family needs. “Our goal is to provide our community with the latest and greatest technology along with the amazing service and support you’d expect to come from your local provider,” says Ray Lahoud, President and CEO of Bruce Telecom.

The upgrade comes at no cost to those who consent to the services being brought to their home, and upon completion, affected property will be completely restored to its pre-construction state.
