On Tuesday, May 6th, the Chantry Island Cham-bettes held their Annual General Meeting at SouthPort Golf Course where they installed their new Executive.

Each year, the philanthropic group of women fundraise for a wide variety of community projects while injecting the word FUN into FUNdraising. From plant sales to the popular ‘Sharecrow’ food drive to the Christmas ornaments sale, and the Christmas Tour of Homes, the Cham-bettes have been raising funds for some 70 years.
At its Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday, service awards, Perfect Attendance awards and the Cham-bette of the Year award were also given out.
This year, ‘Cham-bette of the Year’ was Gay Ashdown, a past-President.
