Community Foundation Grey Bruce (CFGB) is pleased to announce the 37 recipients of their Spring Community Grants.
Organizations like the Bruce Peninsula Bird Observatory at the tip of the Peninsula over to the Meaford Cultural Foundation and south to The Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey in Kincardine are receiving a grant of up to $3,000 to support a project or program that will improve the vitality of our community.
The applications received are showing a positive trend. Jen Legge, Grants and Donor Relations Coordinator at CFGB tells us “For the first time since 2019 we saw some truly joyful projects requesting funding. It feels like organizations are making plans and moving forward.”
One example is the REACH Centre Grey Bruce who was granted for their “REACHing for Inclusion” program that will create a way-finding map and training to help clients navigate public transit.
“There are so many great events, parks, and services in our area. This will help break down the transportation barrier that can keep many with disabilities from being included” reports Jennifer Miller, Executive Director of the REACH Centre.
There’s more good news from CFGB. Stuart Reid, Executive Director, tells us that they are accepting applications to their Capital Grant stream for 2023. “Grey Bruce non-profits and charities can apply through our website by submitting a letter of intent before July 1st. We have $100,000 available to grant to capital projects that will contribute to an organization’s success and growth of capacity, improving community spaces, and broadening access.”

Grants from CFGB are possible thanks to over 185 endowed funds created by generous local donors with the enlightened vision of a vital, healthy, and resilient community that everyone in Grey Bruce benefits from.
