After a competitive four days, championship day is today, Sunday September 15th, at the 2024 Canadian Men’s Senior Championship at Saugeen Golf Club.
Stephen Jensen from England now tops the leader board at -8, a four-stroke lead over Miles McConnell of Tampa, Florida.
In third is Doug Hanzel of Savannah, Georgia at -3.
Final round tee times are from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Sunday morning with the final group expected to finish between 2:00 and 2:30 pm. The cost to watch the golf is free.
The John Rankin Memorial Trophy will be awarded at 3:00 p.m. in a ceremony in front of the pro shop. The winner receives exemption into the 2025 US Senior Amateur as well as exemption into the 2025 Canadian Men’s Senior at Kenwo Golf Club in New Minas, Nova Scotia, September 8 – 12, 2025.
Sunday is also the final day of the fun-filled Golf Fest in the Coors’ Light Gardens. From noon to 3:00 p.m., enjoy interactive games including a golf simulator, bucket golf, disc golf, the Port Elgin Chrysler Hole in One, Beat the Pro, and more. Admission to golf fest is $15 and free for children 16 and under as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
