Final qualifier day for final six spots in Canadian Men’s Sr. Championship

Today is the final opportunity for many golfers to qualify for the 2024 Canadian Men’s Senior Championship at Saugeen Golf Club just outside of Port Elgin, Ontario. Presented by Golf Canada and BDO.

Today, Tuesday, September 10, 2024 is the qualifier. The final opportunity for six more golfers to secure their spot in the championship event. Several local golfers from Saugeen Golf will participate, including Peter Farrell, Scott McLeod, Stig Lassen, Ken Dunlop, and Dana Murray.

 

 

Wednesday, September 11, is practice day as many of the players see the course for the first time. Everyone is invited to watch them practice for free. Opening ceremonies begin at 5pm at the course.

Thursday, September 12, 2024 – First round of competition throughout the day. Fans can walk and watch the golfers for free. You can also enjoy Golf Fest, fun for everyone, in the Coors Light tent. In the tent there will be silent and live auctions, live entertainment, food and beverages. Plus there are many games for fans to play including frisbee golf, golf simulators, and the Port Elgin Chrysler hole in one challenge.

Friday, September 13, 2024 – Second round of competition throughout the day. Fans can walk and watch the golfers for free. Golf Fest continues with a special appearance by the Canadian Big Band in the evening as part of the Big Band Celebration in the area. Presented by Middleton Finner Financial Services. Tickets for the show are just $25 per person.

Saturday, September 14, 2024 – Third round of competition throughout the day. Fans can walk and watch the golfers for free. Golf Fest continues with fun for everyone in the Coors Light tent, and fun games for everyone to enjoy.

Sunday, September 15, 2024 – Championship day as the final round of the tournament will be played and a champion will be crowned in the afternoon. Fans can walk and watch the golfers for free. It is also the final day of Golf Fest in the Coors Light tent.

Saugeen Shores will be the smallest community to ever host this prestigious event. Approximately 200 volunteers will be working to ensure that both golfers and fans have the best experience possible.

Golf Fest is an important part of the event and will be fun for everyone. Under the Coors Light tent there will be live entertainment, food and beverages, live and silent auctions and much more. Fans can also experience several other types of golf including frisbee golf, bucket golf, and attempt the Port Elgin Chrysler Hole in One. Golf Fest tickets are on sale at www.saugeengolf.com/seniors and at the door. Full event passes are $50 for the general public, and $30 for Saugeen Golf Club members. Single day passes are $15.
