Food for furry four-legged friends thanks to Cops for Kibbles

Saugeen Shores Police and Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) joined forces on Saturday, February 22nd to collect pet food for Living Hope Food Basket and Saugeen First Nation Food Bank at the second annual Cops for Kibbles.

Organized by Saugeen Shores Police Constable Stacey Gordon, Officers and Auxiliary officers and Special Olympics were hosted at Global Pet Food, Unleash the Positive, Pet Valu and WalMart.

“People sometimes forget that pets are part of the family too,” said OPP Officer Krista Linthorne, “but the people here in Saugeen Shores have been very generous.”

Customers at each location could donate bags of food, or cash which was then used to purchase pet food at the location.
