The Board of Health for the Grey Bruce Health Unit is pleased to announce both the Board and union members have voted in favour of an agreement reached in the recent contract negotiations with the Ontario Public Service Employees Union Local 276 – Support.
The Board of Health ratified the agreement at its last meeting, December 21, 2018, noting the strengthening relationship between the two parties. Union members voted Thursday last to accept the offer.
The two-year contact, beginning January 1, 2019, honours the provincial public sector message of fiscal restraint with wage increases of .5% and .5% respectfully. The agreement also includes a signing bonus and makes adjustments in contract language.
