It was a groundbreaking event on Wednesday, September 16th for the unique and innovative Powerlink project in Port Elgin (Saugeen Shores).
The project at the corner of Mary and Goderich Streets, will be a unique concept of live-work in the same building with a combination of commercial office and residential space.
The new initiative is anticipated to open in the Fall of 2021, with 70 per cent of commercial space and 50 per cent of the residential space already booked.
“It’s a thrilling new idea,” says Tracy Doll, realtor with Royal LePage, who is handling the residential side of the project, “and we are very excited about it, as it is the first development of its kind in Bruce County.”
Mayor Luke Charbonneau also added that the project is another indication of the growth that Saugeen Shores is continuing to see.
Andrew Hill, owner of Hill Build, said, “We are really excited about this project and are looking forward to now getting started.”
