It’s that exciting time of year again when 170 women and men come together for the 8th annual ‘Handbags for Hospice‘ fabulous evening of designer handbags, food, drink, laughs, fun and FUNdraising in support of the Huron Shores Hospice, on September 19th (2024).
The event is hosted by Bruce Power past-President Duncan Hawthorne and wife, Lesley at the Kincardine Pavilion at 156 Durham Street in Kincardine overlooking beautiful Lake Huron.
Imagine – a silent auction of nearly 100 high-end handbags and an experience to participate in the live auction featuring the incomparable ‘Layne the Auctionista’. A short program will begin at 6:50 p.m. with the live auction taking place at 7:25 p.m.
Huron Shores Hospice provides quality end-of-life care, at no cost, to residents of Saugeen Shores, Kincardine, Huron-Kinloss and surrounding area. Their vision is to create a world where end-of-life receives the same beauty, care, dignity and respect as at the beginning, by creating moments that matter.
In addition to end-of-life care, Huron Shores Hospice also provides free programs for Grief Recovery, End of Life Doula services, Death Cafes, and End-of-Life Planning workshops. Huron Shores Hospice is a charitable not-for-profit, volunteer-driven, community-funded organization, located within Tiverton Park Manor in Tiverton, Ontario.
All funds raised at the event will stay local and be used to sustain the Huron Shores Hospice two-bed residential hospice suite at Tiverton Park Manor.
