It was a clear, sunny afternoon at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 7th, when a head-on collision between two vehicles on County Rd. 13 (Sauble Parkway) immediately outside of Southampton resulted in traffic stopped in both directions.

According to a bystander, one of the vehicles slightly crossed the yellow line into oncoming traffic with the result both ended up in the north side ditch of the road.
Saugeen Shores Police, Fire and EMS responded and, fortunately, it appeared that no one was seriously injured although those from the vehicles were taken to Saugeen Memorial Hospital for observation.
The collision remains under investigation.
