The Holiday Inn Express/StayBridge Suites in Port Elgin is getting into the holiday spirit early thanks to ‘Kristy and Susan’.
They have partnered with Ronald McDonald House in London, Ontario and are holding a Toy Drive throughout the month of November to help Santa’s helpers fill ToyLand for the Kids and families, who may be going through a difficult time.
On Saturday, November 18th, drop by the Holiday Inn in Port Elgin where there will be a ‘Hot Chocolate Stand’ with decadent, delicious Kyleigh’s hot chocolate by donation. Bring a new toy or donation for the kids in Ronald McDonald House. “We need help filling our toy shelves and Holiday Land with gifts for all ages,” says organizer Kristy Buckton.
This Saturday only (November 18th), if you bring any of the Wish List items for Holiday Land, your name will be entered into a draw for a Yeti cooler!
For many who don’t have the opportunity to be at home for Christmas, the Wish List ensures that everyone has a chance to enjoy Christmas morning away from home.

Ronald McDonald House London (RMH London) provides a welcoming and secure “home-away-from-home” for families living over 40km away, who have seriously ill children in need of medical care at a London hospital.
A family can stay in one of the 40 private rooms, located steps from Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre, for as long as their child requires medical care.
Families are asked to pay just $12.00 a night BUT no family is ever turned away due to an inability to pay.
