The Rotary Huron Shore Run has grown to become a full weekend filled with fun, starting on Friday night and winding up Saturday night with an entertainment extravaganza.
Currently, organizers are ready to sign up volunteers for this year’s event on May 31st.
This is a great opportunity for students to get their community service hours in or for anyone who wants to spend the day outside in support of a good cause.
Each year, the run has raised funds for the local Southampton Hospital Foundation, Saugeen Track and Field Club, Saugeen Shores Lifesaving Club, Breakers Swim Team, and Rotary projects.
The event includes the half marathon, the five and 10K and the kids Fun Run, all beginning on High Street in Southampton.
The half marathon begins at 7:30 a.m. as runners wind their way along the scenic multi-use trail following the shore of Lake Huron … and is an official qualifying run.

7:30 am – 21.1k Half Marathon
7:45 am – 10k
8 am – 5k walk/run
10 am – Kids Fun Run
