Huron Shores Hospice exceeds Giving Tuesday goal

Huron Shores Hospice co-Chair Cheryl Cottrill announced live on Facebook on Wednesday, December 1st, that the Giving Tuesday goal of $10,000 was more than doubled.

“We had 105 donors give $25,005,” said Cottrill. “It’s by far our biggest Giving Tuesday ever and we have to thank the community so much for everyone’s support.”

Bruce Power also added to the excitement with a matching donation of up to $5,000.

As part of the FUNdraising, Cottrill agreed to ‘take a pie in the face’ if the goal was met and she lived up to her part of the bargain as Executive Director, Cathy Herbert, did the honours.

The Tiverton & District Lions Club also donated $1,000.
