Earlier this month Saugeen Shores Police responded to a report of an assault at a local hotel. Officers arrived on scene and located an adult female with serious injuries. She was transported to the Hospital for treatment.
An adult male was arrested at the scene. It was discovered that the male was also actively bound by a court order not to be anywhere the current victim was known to be, stemming from a previous intimate partner assault.
The accused was charged with several offences and was held for a bail hearing, where he was remanded into custody.
The victim sustained serious and possibly life altering injuries.
