Following the successful shredding day in last September, Southampton Rotary Club is excited to announce a second annual environmentally friendly “drive-through” shredding event during “Earth Week” on Saturday, April 23rd from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. behind Rotary Hall at 39 Grey Street South, Southampton on a “first-come, first-served” basis.
The Club is again partnering with Wasteco to bring an on-site shredding service to our community to shred personal, confidential and financially sensitive documents. The waste will then be used in recycled paper products.
The aim of this event is to:
• provide a service to the community
• raise awareness of re-cycling and care for the environment
• raise awareness of the risks of identity theft One of Rotary International’s Areas of Focus is the environment, so this is the Southampton Club’s way of focusing on this crucial issue and is in addition to their annual Road, Perkins Park and Beach clean ups. The shredding truck will be located at the rear car park of Rotary Hall. Please see the road map below for the best way to access the car park. Signs will also be in place to direct you.
• There is no charge, but a donation $10 per banker’s box or similar size is suggested
• Cash is preferred or payment may be made by debit or credit card.
