Join Us in the Cycle for Dignity: A 700-Kilometre Ride to Support Safe ‘N Sound

Level 5 Tiling & Renovations, operated by Jason and Steph in Tobermory, Ontario, is proud to announce the Cycle for Dignity, a 700-kilometre bicycle ride taking place from August 22-28, 2024, along the stunning Niagara Escarpment. This year’s journey will start in Niagara-on-the-Lake and conclude in Tobermory, Ontario, traversing a portion of the Trans Canada Trail.

As avid cyclists and adventurers, Jason and Steph have made it a tradition to explore the hidden gems of Ontario each year, riding through small communities, meeting incredible people, and pushing their limits of endurance and strength. This annual ride not only offers them a chance to reflect and cultivate gratitude but also highlights the basic comforts that many take for granted: a hot shower, a change of clothing, a comfy bed, a wholesome meal, and a safe roof over their heads.

Recognizing the growing struggles faced by many, Jason and Steph have decided to use their journey as a platform to raise awareness and funds for those in need. This year, they are excited to partner with Safe ‘N Sound in Owen Sound, Ontario. Safe ‘N Sound provides essential services, support, and advocacy for the homeless and those at risk of homelessness, as well as a refuge for victims of addiction.

“Every human has a unique life story, and we’ll never truly know what a day in another’s shoes is like. We can only respond to cries for help with empathy, non-judgment, and practical means of helping,” said Steph.

During the Cycle for Dignity, Jason and Steph will raise awareness and funds for Safe ‘N Sound. Donations will be directed towards life-saving, high-priority items for the drop-in-centre. The journey will include a special stop at Safe ‘N Sound on the second-last day, where they will join staff and community members at the annual summer BBQ.

Jason and Steph are calling on friends, neighbours, colleagues, clients, community members in Grey Bruce County, and local businesses to make a donation of any amount. Funds raised will go directly to Safe ‘N Sound, and receipts can be provided upon request.

“We thank you for your support as we take this idea and evolve it over time, and we thank Safe ‘N Sound for doing what they do,” said Jason.
