At the recent 38th Rotary Home & Recreation Show held on April 13th and 14th at Southampton Coliseum, the annual raffle had two big winners.
Brinda Muth of Port Elgin won the iPad Mini that was donated by Bruce Power.
President Dan Murawsky presented the prize and said that, “Brinda was so happy and that put a big smile on my face too.”
The other big winner was also from Port Elgin. Joanne Poole won $1,000 in gift cards of $100 denominations donated by Rowland’s Your Independent Grocer. Upon being presented with the gift cards, Poole immediately donated two for $200 to the Missionary Food Bank. “I also know some people that I will also be giving gift cards to.” As for the remainder, Poole said her son is returning from college and laughingly said, “That means my grocery bill goes up so the other cards will be put to good use!”
