The Marine Heritage Festival 2022 is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever.
The weekend begins Friday evening at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre with a Kids’ Bike Festival around Fairy Lake, the Captain Sparrow BBQ and summer jazz.
Then, when dusk falls, the family friendly Ghost Walk begins around Fairy Lake.
Friday is only the beginning of a weekend filled with activities. With an early start on Saturday morning, there is the popular Rotary pancake breakfast, Children’s Gold Hunt and then at 1:00 p.m., the big event of the day – the Cardboard Boat Races. The day continues with a beer garden and live entertainment and winds up with the Southampton Firefighters’ Fish Fry dinner at 5:00 p.m.
Sunday continues the fun with an action packed day that includes the Three Sheets beer garden, Saugeen Shores Rotary BBQ, a tour of the Range Light, a sail-past by the Southampton Yacht Club and a family bring-your-own picnic at Pioneer Park.
